New Themes From Themify

Not sure how long I will keep up this posting about new themes being added but there are now some new themes on the site. This time from Themify.

This brings the total themes that you can test to 39 - and I have 2 more companies getting things ready to test so they should be live soon!

Add Your Themes To WordPress Theme Preview

Now that the site has been running in stealth mode for a couple of weeks I think it's ready to have more themes introduced.

As such I would like to open up the themes to other theme houses. If you would like to see your themes to be included then please do the following:

Create a directory on your web server that holds zip files of all of your themes (give it a 'secret' name such as http://yourthemeshop.com/themes/skhdskdjiws833kjf/)
If you wish you can also add .htpassword to that directory as well
Download this file, upload it to your newly created theme directory, and rename it to check_files.php
Email me a link to the php file on your server along with any .htpassword info that you may have set up

Once I have the info I will get things setup as soon as I can, and let you know when they are available. Please note that I like to spend some time testing things so it isn't an instant process but I will get back to you .

Gabfire Themes Join the Fun

The goal of WordPress Theme Preview is to host as many premium themes as possible so that you can test them all. As such the next set of premium themes to test will be coming from Gabfire Themes.

Gabfire Themes are a long standing member of the WordPress theme community. They have a fantastically responsive team behind them and I am pleased they wanted to join the fun.

The first of the themes will be added today, and more will follow in the coming weeks.

Startbox Themes coming to WordPress Theme Preview

As I mentioned in the first post, I have been hoping that others would want to join in with the fun, and thankfully the response has been positive so far. So I welcome StartBox to the gang!

StartBox is a WordPress theme framework, built by Brian Richards, which has recently been made open source. Brian makes money from the theme by selling child themes that make the framework look nice. I am currently in the process of adding all of his themes to WordPress Theme Preview and they should be with us shortly.

I have already had some feedback from other theme shops and so the collection should be growing quite rapidly. Hopefully in the coming weeks we will see a lot of new content appearing.

Welcome to WordPress Theme Preview. A site that allows you to test premium WordPress themes without paying a penny!

About 6 months ago I created a preview site for Pro Theme Design, my premium WordPress Themes site. The idea was to allow people to test the themes before they purchased them.

This did 2 things:

Less refund requests. People could test things, so they were more comfortable buying
More customers - there is only 1 other theme team that allows themes to be tested, and it's made a huge change to the business

So, I got to thinking, how can I help the wider theme development community?

WordPress Theme Preview is my attempt to help WordPress theme developers everywhere show off their wares in a more interactive, realistic, environment.

Currently only my themes are available to test, but I am currently talking to a number of theme shops about including their themes, and so the collection will be growing in the coming months.
